Actual status:

The designed and already built “Don Gjon Buzuku” boulevard has been the missing part of the famous Boulevard “Republika” South mirroring. The mirror axis, “Fan Noli Boulevard” has historically signed as a “physical border” between the Muslim and Orthodox neighborhoods in the city. The boulevard was never built in the South neighborhood, remaining just a narrow motorway and a pedestrian path. The impression was that of a not urbanized area, even though there were built important public buildings like the Radio & Television of the city and the high school “Tefta Tashko Koço”.

The project proposed the new boulevard as a connection and natural continuity with the North boulevard for a city of cohabitation and common senses. The project identify the potential urban public spaces and design them properly with the approach of social interaction. It is actualy transformed in a natural city organism and there are no more traces of the bad part of the past.
